What to Expect
After your service, it’s normal to notice a fresh, healthy glow within the first 24 to 72 hours, along with slight redness or warmth that fades quickly. Breakouts can occasionally surface as impurities clear. Your skin may feel smoother, softer, and more hydrated right away, with a more even, refreshed look as your results continue to develop.
Over the next few days, your skin will keep improving as it rebalances and renews, helping you get the most out of your treatment.
Keep it simple
After a facial, your skin can be more sensitive than usual. For the first 24 hours, stick to a gentle cleanser, light hydration, and avoid overloading your routine with new or active products. After 24 hours, you can gradually return to your normal routine using products recommended by your Skincare Specialist.
Hydrate inside and out
Use a Sanitas moisturizer or one suited to your skin type, and drink plenty of water to support hydration and maintain that post-treatment glow. Consistent use of professional products at home helps extend and enhance your results between visits.
Pause on exfoliation
Your skin barrier is actively rebuilding after exfoliation. Introducing acids, scrubs, or waxing too soon can disrupt that process and reduce your glow. You may also notice that your skin is a little more dry, or you may even see some light flaking. This is a totally normal part of the skin barrier rebuilding process after any kind of exfoliation. Give your skin at least 48 hours to recover before reintroducing products like Sanitas exfoliants or Sanitas retinoids.
Protect your glow
Freshly treated skin is more sensitive to the sun. Apply SPF daily and limit direct sun exposure to help prevent irritation and protect your results.
Let your skin breathe
Skip heavy makeup for about 24 hours when possible so your skin can fully absorb the benefits of your treatment.
Be gentle
Avoid heat, excessive sweating, and touching your face right after your service. Your skin is in a renewal phase and needs a little extra care.
